She has participated in numerous workshops in Italy, as well as she attended the Vermont Studio residency program at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont. Past awards for her work include consecutive Professional Development Grants from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, UAE, consecutive Research Development Grants from the American University in Cairo, Cairo, Egypt, the Change Inc. (the Rauschenberg Foundation) Grant, Captiva, FL, and the Artist-In-The-Marketplace Fellowship, the Bronx Museum, Bronx, NY.

Her work has been reviewed in the New York Times, TimeOut Abu Dhabi, the Connecticut Post, the Advocate and Greenwich Time, and ART PAPERS, and is included in private and public collections internationally including the Library of Congress, D.C, The Alexandria Library, Alexandria, Egypt, and the Art Museum of South Texas, Corpus Christi, TX.
