Mirko LamonacaMirko Lamonaca
Mirko Lamonaca was born near Milan in 1976. He has been painting since 1998. He has also concentrated on minimal landscapes: endless, empty, also protected (or menaced) by the presence of the moon. The figures in Mirko Lamonaca’s paintings are always little and almost invisible men, lost in these waste lands (Eliot), immobile or walking. Nobody knows what they are doing there, waiting for someone (Beckett) or only looking for an escape.
Mirko Lamonaca exposed in various Italian towns (Milan, Rome, Ferrara, Bergamo, Alessandira). He is currently collaborating with Wannabee gallery in Milan. He’s going to start a collaboration (2008) with Dérapages gallery in Brussels.
