Born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1963, Carol Brown completed a BS in mathematics and a master’s in geography and worked for several years in computer cartography before traveling to the west coast where she studied oil painting for 6 months with Kint van Dayle.
She didn’t just learn to paint, she learned she was a painter.
In 1997 she traveled to France where she lived for nine years. She now lives in falmouth, MA, on Cape Cod.
