Surrealism
(movement, early 1920's-1930's)

Let us not mince words: the marvelous is always beautiful. anything marvelous is beautiful, in fact only the marvelous is beautiful.

Andre Breton, 1924

Surrealist Game: Questions and Responses
Divide into two groups, everyone has slips of paper. One half writes a (unanswered) question; The other half writes a (questionless) response. Put the slips into two piles and randomly match
questions with responses. Examples:

• Why can’t you kiss your elbow? We do it with three blowfish, engorged beyond repair.

• Do you prefer creamy or crunchy peanut butter? More people have been to Russia than I.

• Can people negate their egos? Fix it with a tourniquet.
