Li Xi
Li Xi was the winner of the 2005 Dragonair Emerging Chinese Artists Awards (DECAA I). A student of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, Li Xi developed this new style of ink painting in 2002. Li Xi’s aim is to give an impression of “clouds” or “water” by employing lines. “Each line,” says the artist “runs and revolves like a seed growing into a tree.”
