Yusaku Kamekura was born in Niigata Prefecture, Japan in 1915. He was a pioneer of graphic design in Japan, and founded the Japan Design Center in 1960. He served as President of Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) from 1978 to 1993. As the brain, editor and publisher of ‘Creation,’ a magazine focusing on international graphic design, art and illustration, he promoted the highest achievements in contemporary graphic art and its representative artists worldwide…
