Working as an artist and photographer since the mid-1980s, Paul Shambroom studied at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He has exhibited extensively at galleries and museums, with works shown at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art; and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
