Meredyth Sparks is known for her collages on the theme of rock movements of the 70s and 80s. The selected photos of Blondie, David Bowie, Gary Newman, Petty Smith and other musicians are worked on by her with geometrical shapes from sequins and aluminum foil. These additional elements, partly covering the depictions of the musicians, leave visible only the most important (in Meredyth Sparks’ point of view) elements of the image.
