Lucia Madriz
I work as a way of understanding. I like to think of my work as an exploration on many other fields than the technical: the visual, the poetic, the political, the emotional. Therefore I relate more to concepts than to a specific field of art like video, performance or painting. I consider them just means to an end.
One of the most important aspects of my work is the possibility to question. For me art is a medium where to present issues and establish dialogue with the public. This dialogue doesn’t necessarily goes through language and rational thought but also through the re- calling of experiences including the ssensorial and emotional ones…
