Selected works, biography and texts
Johannes Wohnseifer collects already existent cultural signs and remakes them in a new manner. In his paintings and installations he comments on current political themes, mixing facts and the imagined, precise references and hidden illusions, irony and serious analysis. At the same time comically absurd and ideologically threatening, his works combine the frivolity of advertising with hidden propaganda.
