From the time I came to live in the United States in1979 until sometime around 1990, I made small geometric sculptures. At first these were made from plywood, then later I used cardboard or foam core covered with resin and glass fiber While these works were essentially formal and abstract, I found that they often embodied very particular memories. Perhaps a memory of a work of art, or of a person I had known, or sometimes a memory of an image of a person, a memory of a portrait…
