I once thought that my life as an artist was totally separate from the fact that I had studied law, but as I get older, I realize that similar concerns motivate both. I’m interested in questions that are fundamental to both fields, such as: who is allowed to do what, who owns what, and how do we structure our society. I think these apparently legal questions have a lot to do with art because the answers to them determine who is allowed or able to express themselves within our society…
