Dirk Oudes | the artist

He earned his living as a watchmaker and took up art as
a hobby. You could say he was an amateur artist, or a Sunday painter,
were it not that his originality and self-assuredness allowed him to go
his own way. His drawings and small paintings often focus on the close
relationship between man and animal.
