Domela( Cesar Nieuwenhuis). Reliefs. Dutch painter and sculptor. At first he made non-figurative work with the “November Group”, with Walter Dexel, in Berlin (1923) Joined in 1924 the de Stijl movement, after being with Piet Mondrian and Theo van Doesburg in Paris. He had settled in Paris in 1933. He was a member of the group “The abstract of Hannover.” Founded in 1937 the magazine “Plastique”, Paris, together with Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp. In 1946 he founded the group “Centre de Recherche” in Paris.
