Ich beschäftige mich mit Fotografie und dem Image, das sie produziert. Mit dem Blick und dem Unsichtbaren, und ich beziehe mich dabei auf das Verhältnis von Betrachter und dem Objekt der Phantasie. Die mehrteiligen Arbeiten sind ein Puzzle über die Ursache erotischer Manipulation und ihr Verhältnis zum Selbstbewusstsein. Ein Spiel vom Selbst und dem Anderen, um Subjekt und Objekt, dem Privaten und dem Öffentlichen. Es ist auch die Konfrontation einer Realität mit einer anderen Version derselben Realität. Teilweise sind die Arbeiten Reflexionen auf den Mythos der Macht männlichen Wunschdenkens. Als Verführte möchte ich wieder verführen und mit visuellen Mitteln ein Gefühl der Sinnlichkeit erzeugen. Die Arbeiten entstehen nach einem genauen Konzept; Alltägliches wird mit Lichtprojektionen kombiniert. Die Fotos sind mit durchsichtigem Stoff überzogen um eine zweite Ebene zu schaffen, Zweidimensionales mit Dreidimensionalem verbunden, der Kälte des Mediums Sinnlichkeit geben, durch Verschleiern sichtbar machen...

One of the tragic outcomes of Europe’s self-destruction in World War II. was that the so-called “gender debate,” imported by the art world from the U.S.A. in the 1990s, had actually begun in Europe twenty years before. At that time, however, the art world suppressed the debate. In the 1970s, two exceptional artists in Austria, Valie Export and Birgit Jürgenssen, began to undermine cultural constructions of femininity using their bodies as screens on which to project cultural codes and their critique of these codes.
