In 1974 Andrew Holmes began making assemblages from materials found on demolition sites in Stoke on Trent, using original colour and patination.
In the early 1980’s he began to concentrate on more functional pieces of furniture and clock cases, as well as exterior landscaped work in brick, stone and tiles.
In the past, he has exhibited in major galleries in London and Manchester. In the past 10 years he has sold most of his work by private commission. Some of his work is now in the possession of well known art collectors. He has created a website to reach a wider public. The images below are just two of the many pieces that he has sold.
