As Australia’s largest and most exciting visual arts event, the 18th Biennale presents more than 220 works by over 100 artists and collaborators – including many new works created especially for Sydney. The exhibition is presented at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Pier 2/3 and the legendary Cockatoo Island. For the first time, the Biennale is collaborating with Redfern-based contemporary arts institution Carriageworks, that will present two international dance performances and an art installation as part of the exhibition. Alongside the exhibition, the Biennale presents artist talks, guided tours, performances, forums, family days and other special events – throughout the 12 weeks of the festival. Thanks to Etihad Airways, Biennale artists from around the world have flown to Sydney to take part in our exiting program of Opening Week events. For more information, visit bos18.com. |
