The relationship between Jewish Art owners and Nazi's during World War 2 is a complicated affair. History tells us that Hitler destroyed many art works for being considered deviant. Much art was hidden or sold. The sale of art saved the fate of the Jewish owners from the concentration camps. But what happened to the art once the war was over?

Andy Warhol blurred the lines between personal artistic expression and celebrity culture. He specifically created many copies of the same piece so as to question the value of the artist's personal touch as opposed to the value of the collective. In keeping with this, many of his pieces were not created by him personally, but by his assistants. It isn't a far jump for collectors and their lawyers to question the authenticity of the work.

There is a fine line between graffiti and Street Art. If the former was once used to vandalise, the latter is used to beautify and provoke. Street Art is becoming more and more sophisticated as the artists show greater skill at getting their message out there. Not only do they express real talent in design and use of color, but they also succeed in dodging the police whilst spraying their Art on the walls. Well, some do at least, until they get caught. The surprise occurs when the judge rules.

Plans for a Contemporary Art Museum were announced in South Africa. The focus of the museum will be on collecting, preserving, researching and of course exhibiting contemporary art from Africa and its Diaspora. The museum will be named the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA). This is in honor of Jochen Zeitz, who will commit his impressive art collection to the museum, and begin a tide of important art acquisitions.

The English Video Artist Elizabeth Price has been given a £60,000 commission to create a new work exploring the female figure within the collections of the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers museums.rnNow in its fifth year, this commision is awarded by the Contemporary Art Society, UK. rnElizabeth Price uses archival images, text and music to create her works. Ilit Azoulay is an Israeli artist, currently living and working in Berlin. In her years in South Tel Aviv, she spent time visiting the remains of neglected buildings, exploring their rooms, examining their walls, and gathering bits and pieces. She listened carefully, as if the walls could talk.
